TODAI conducts a wide range of research in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, while continuously seeking to create an interdisciplinary and cutting-edge academic curriculum. TODAI is renowned for its Nobel prize-winning research and Nobel prizes have been awarded to TODAI graduates for Physics, Literature and Peace.Consisting of the College of Arts and the College of Science, 10 Faculties, 15 Graduate Schools and 11 institutes, TODAI holds 14,123 undergraduate students and 13,894 Graduate School students as of May 2011. Among them, there were 241 international students enrolled in undergraduate programs and 2,299 graduate students. At the Graduate School of Engineering, 1,110 international graduate students are currently studying, which accounts for 37% percent of all TODAI international graduate students.The School conducts a wide variety of educational and research activities, and its innovative and intellectually stimulating initiatives are continuously enhancing this world-leading center for the pursuit of knowledge.
